Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Debate Clock is a timer application for the Slovak Debate League (SDL), developed and maintained by MisoMaster11. It is available as a web app, on Android, and on iOS.

2. Data we collect

We collect no personal data. The app does not require an account, does not track usage, and does not connect to any external server. The one exception is entirely under your control: if you choose to report a problem, the app opens a form in your browser — see section 4.

The only data stored by the app is your preferences, saved locally on your device using the operating system's standard local storage (SharedPreferences on Android/iOS, localStorage on web). This includes:

• Language preference (English / Slovak)
• Bell and vibration settings
• Custom debate formats you create
• Selected debate format

This data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to us or any third party, and it is not linked to any identifier.

3. Permissions used

• Audio — plays a bell sound at defined moments during a debate. No audio is recorded or transmitted.
• Vibration — optionally vibrates the device in sync with bell events. No data is collected.
• Wakelock — keeps the screen on while a timer is running so the clock remains visible. No data is collected.

4. Third-party services

The app does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs. No data is shared with third parties.

Reporting a problem. Settings → Report a problem opens a Google Form in your browser. The app itself sends nothing — it only fills in a description of your app version, device, language and current settings, which you can read, edit, or delete before submitting. Nothing is sent unless you press Submit. The form does not ask you to sign in and does not record your email address unless you type it into the optional reply field. Responses are handled by Google Forms on our behalf; see Google's Privacy Policy.

The web version is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may collect standard server logs (IP address, browser, request time) as part of their infrastructure. Please refer to GitHub's Privacy Statement for details.

5. Children's privacy

The app does not collect any data from any user, including children under the age of 13. It complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and equivalent regulations.

6. Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices change, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date at the top will be revised. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
